Linn Bjørnland grew up on Jeløya a small island outside Moss, Norway. She left home at age 15 to study at Fagerborg in Oslo, a professional ballet high school, where she trained with the Norwegian National Ballet School.

She continued her education in London at Bird College where she discovered acting as an extension of her dancing. Her career then took to her to New York and then onto Los Angeles where she lives presently
